What's the difference between buying and renting?+
If you buy, you pay once and the site is yours: we hand over the finished build and you take care of hosting, the domain and email. If you rent, you pay a lower upfront cost plus a monthly or yearly fee that includes hosting, the domain, email at your own domain, backups, maintenance and the panel for editing your own content.
Which one suits me?+
If you don't want to deal with anything technical and you like the idea of editing your own content, rent. If you'd rather own the site and already have someone managing your hosting, buy. If you're unsure, write to us and we'll think it through with your actual case on the table.
What does renting include?+
Hosting, email at your own domain, a standard domain (.com, .net, .org or another of equivalent cost), an admin panel for editing your content with no limits and no extra cost, backups and technical maintenance. If you already have a domain, we'll configure it at no cost; other extensions are quoted separately.
What exactly do I get if I buy the site?+
The built site — HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images — the content files, and a contact form already set up to send to your own email. We include one-time assistance pointing your domain at your hosting and 30 days of email support for handover questions. The domain, hosting, email at your own domain and the admin panel are not included: they're part of the rental model, or of Gestión if you later want us to keep managing them.
What can I change myself with the panel?+
Your site's content: text, images, prices, opening hours and contact details, from your phone or your computer, with no limits and no cost. On a custom project, the panel's scope is defined by the features the site has.
Is there a minimum commitment?+
No. You can cancel whenever you like, with no penalty and no minimum term. The subscription ends when the period you've already paid for runs out, with no refund for partial months.
What happens if one day I want to leave?+
The site stays online for 30 days after the last paid period as a grace margin, and is then taken down. The domain is yours and we transfer it free of charge, always. Your text and images are yours too, and we hand over a copy whenever you ask. We keep a backup for 90 days in case you change your mind. And if you want to keep the site, there's an option to buy it.
Can I keep the site if I stop renting?+
Yes. If you've been with us for less than 2 years, you make a single payment equal to 1 year of rental and the site is yours. If you've been with us for more than 2 years, that payment is equal to half a year of rental. What you do stop getting is what the rental gave you as a service, not as a file: hosting, email at your own domain, the admin panel, backups and maintenance all stop, because they run on our infrastructure and can't be handed over. We tell you this before charging for the buy-out, never after. If you'd rather keep all of that running, you can switch to Gestión instead of buying outright.
Is the domain registered in my name?+
Yes. We register it in your name from day one, and we transfer it to you free of charge either way, whether you rent or buy.
How is payment handled?+
With a US$50 deposit when the project starts, which books your slot and is part of the total. The rest is charged only once you've seen the finished site and approved it: the balance for a purchase, or the setup cost plus the monthly or yearly fee for a rental.
Is it worth paying for the year up front?+
Yes. The yearly fee works out at about ten months of the monthly one, so paying by the year saves you roughly two months.
How long does it take?+
5 business days after we have all your information — copy, photos, logo and contact details — you can see the prototype running on our subdomain. Then comes the round of adjustments, so the publication date depends on how long it takes to get it the way you want. On a custom project, the timeframe is set in the initial proposal.
Who provides the copy and the photos?+
You do, since you know your business best. If you don't have your own photos, we fill in with images that suit your sector. And if you'd rather we wrote the copy, we quote that separately.
How many rounds of changes are included?+
Two rounds of adjustments on the finished site. Later changes are quoted; and with the rental's admin panel you edit the content yourself at no cost.
What does technical SEO include?+
Titles and descriptions for search engines, a correct heading structure, alt text on images, a sitemap and robots.txt, loading speed, mobile optimisation and clean, semantic, indexable markup. It's everything built into the site, so it's fully under our control end to end. It does not include guaranteed rankings, content strategy, paid advertising, or setting up Google Search Console, Analytics or your Google Business Profile — those live in your own Google account, because the result also depends on your sector and your competition. We can set them up for you as a separately quoted add-on.
I already have hosting and a domain — can you use them?+
Depends on the model. If you rent and already have your own domain, we'll configure it at no cost. If you buy, the site is handed over for you to publish wherever you prefer: we assist once pointing your domain at your hosting, but we don't manage either one.
